The students will investigate their present and speculate on their future values and beliefs. They will use a variety of digital tools and media. There will be an emphasis on the writing process used in various forms of writing; in particular persuasive and narrative.
Technology used: Wordle, Today's Meet, Animoto. At the end of the inquiry unit using Animoto students created a reflection piece answering the question about what type of footprint they hoped to have established in the future at the age of 25 and then looking beyond. Sharing opportunity of finished products with care partners.

Other Supporting Documents: Summary of Unit: The students expanded their knowledge of structures through books and hands-on activities including building structures with recycled materials. Finished structures were presented to the class and the purpose of their structure was explained. The stability and solidity of their structures were tested.

Culminating activity: Grade 3 - Students looked around their neighbourhood/community or researched a well known structure, and produced a visual representation of that structure. Students then wrote about the structure (in English) why they "liked" that structure and included descriptive information about it . Using Audioboom their voices were recorded, QR codes printed and attached to the picture and written description to create an interactive bulletin board in the school hallway.
