We will study animals and their environments through the use of books, videos, internet resources, PWIM, discussions and personal stories. After the children gain knowledge about animals and where they live, each student will work with a partner and together they will choose and animal. They will create two contrasting art pieces, one reflecting an ideal environment to nurture their animal and the other that is damaging to their well-being. We will then put their art into a digital book or voice thread and have the students explain their findings.
